Updated 11 Jul 2005 This toystore sample application demo shows you how easy it is to embed DB2 UDB express installation into your own application. Runs on Windows and Linux.
Introduction
This demo will show how easily IBM DB2 Universal Database Express Edition (DB2 UDB Express) can be integrated and deployed with an application. We have created a simple Java™ application called the ToyStore Inventory System to demonstrate this. A graphical installation wizard, which will install the ToyStore application and DB2 UDB Express, is provided. After the installation has completed, the Java application can be run without any further setup.
Both Linux and Windows® versions of this demo are available.
